This is an excellent article. I saw this a lot at my previous job. I am old school, when cell phones and smoke breaks did not exist. They definitely take up the time and folks don't get a lot done and I am amazed at mid to large size companies that have slacked off and do not discipline their people about this. I do what my mother, yes my mother, always told me, always be on time, do not accept outside personal calls unless it is a life or death emergency, and do your job first and everything else do on your lunch break. I still do that.
