Great article. I am a legal assistant. It is certainly a very busy area to work in. I got my start from a lawyer who took a chance on me even though I didn't have a legal background. He wanted someone fast and accurate and he was willing to train me. I credit him with everything legal that I know as he is a great teacher and took the time to show me the ropes. I learned more from him than I could have going to school. He was a senior lawyer and therefore had the confidence in his abilities to do that. I don't think a younger lawyer would have been at a place in his career that he could have taken on that extra role.
