Not sure if it's "news" since it's from 1963, but it's still interesting to see how much things have changed.This is a letter written by an Australian government employee in 1963 to the Director of Trade Commissioner Services, arguing against hiring women, including such arguments as "A spinster lady can, and very often does, turn into something of a battleaxe with the passing years.
