Posted about 1 month ago I am just getting into my profession as an Admin Assistant and have a tasteful tattoo on my foot. I was just wondering what the rule of thumb for tattoos is now a days? |

| Posted about 1 month ago I think as long as it's small and usually covered up it really shouldn't be a problem. Just wear thick tights or opaque socks for a couple of weeks after you start. Follow AdminSecret on Facebook! |

| Posted about 1 month ago I have a full back tattoo, I always wear a jacket when I am working and try to be discreet with showing it at my office. I am currently employed with an office suite type company. I think that it is a choice that should be made by the type of company and your corporate culture. When I worked for NASCAR I had no problems showing my back piece. I do have several small tattoos and have found even in the most conservative enviroments that a little show of ink doesn't offend. |

| Posted about 1 month ago It's really going to depend on the company policy. Some companies have a policy of absolutely no visible tattoos or piercings other than ears. Other companies are open to whatever you want to show. Most companies fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. |

| Posted 27 days ago Keep in mind that while the company policy may allow ink, and even heavy ink, how you dress and carry yourself is going to affect what people (managers) are going to think of you. So even though it's ok to wear ink to obtain and hold the job, the showing of tattos could negatively limit your ability to move up in your career with the company. If a manager is given the choice of promoting one of two equal candidates for a position, the candidate without ink may come off as being the most professional, career oriented of the two applicants. |
