Hmmmm...probably my best skill is at screening calls.  I've always had a knack for getting information from folks and for delegating calls to others without upsetting the caller.

I'm also really good at keeping really unorganized bosses organized.

My skills that I'm most proud of are organizing the office and building relationships. You can be SO much more productive when you know where everything is, someone else can find things when you're out, and you have great relationships with the managers/employees/vendors/etc..

Based on the feedback I get from fellow employees/superiors; it is my ability to apply practical common sense to a situation and fix things before they are even recognized as a problem.

I am surrounded by highly educated people, all intelligent and yet I am always quicker at finding solutions than they are to those little problems that can ruin a meeting, paper or conference.

I also don't panic or get flustered easily.  I just don't see what good it does to get wrapped up in emotions rather than tackling the issue.

My numero uno skill is making travel arrangements.  I am very savvy at finding killer deals on flights and determining what hotels my execs are going to be pleased with.  The best sites I have found are www.kayak.com and www.sidestep.com   Check them out and if anyone ever needs help booking travel, you know who to ask : )

Probably my best skill other than organizing is relationship building.  I love networking with other assistants, encouraging others and learning from each other.

My positive attitude  and ability to contribute when there's a big project that needs to get done fast.  Also, I'm very tech-savvy and know a lot of time-saving computer shortcuts.

The ability to get through assigned tasks quickly and be able to multi task.  This eventually leaves room for me at some point to help other co-workers who are struggling and allows me the opportunity to be play a much bigger role than just my job description and duties that I was assigned.

The skill that has benefited me in the past few days was the ability for my Vice President to print to his private printer. The printer is on our network, but the server it is on was not working.

Because I've been picking the brains of our I/T people, I realized that I could reroute the printer through the Internet. So I got the IP address of the printer and added it to the printer queue on the VP's computer. It worked like a charm!

PS - the server is still not working!!!
