Posted 21 days ago I recently changed jobs from an where I was the admin ass't of 2 people and left b/c the boss stressed me out to a different firm where I am the admin asst/office manger. I don't do nearly as much but the salary is about the same (.15 cents less per hour) and the work sometimes gets passed down and that means nada. So I wait if the phone has to ring and am a front desk person. Do you think I did a disserve to myself by getting rid of my stress and taking a type of step down. I can learn computer programs but sometimes I just don't feel like it. I get to do a number of things but feel different. Is that what happens when you are not stressed. Just was wondering if anyone was out there that did something like this as well. The people are nice and I get benefits in 2 months. |

| Posted 20 days ago I did the same as you. However, I am making half the amount of money as my previous job, but the stress level is about 1/4 of that from my previous job. The loss of pay is now causing me a different kind of stress, but I now can go home every night and leave the job at the office. I don't mind not being the boss anymore. The fact that you only had to take a small hourly cut is amazing in this economy. Good for you. It won't take long for you to wonder how you ever lived with all of that stress. |
