I just went to Loehmann's for the first time the other day and it was AMAZING! Such great inexpensive finds.

Where do you find bargains on clothing and accessories?

I'm a consignment shopper all the way.  I refuse to spend my hard earned money on clothes and will not pay full price for anything.  I buy very expensive stuff for less then $10.  The outfit I have on in my picture is Ann Taylor Loft.  I bought the jacket for $4 and the dress for $4.  They were both brand new.

Sample sales! You can look online or subscribe to special newsletters. It is especially nice because I am very pettie, so there is always something in my size. I got a Diane Von Furstenburg dress for $10!

I love making a trip to the outlet malls near me once a season.  Its great getting name brand stuff from Calivin Klein, BCBG, Banana Republic, etc for a discount.  You can also find decent stuff at Ross or Marshalls, although you may have to pick through crap to get good deals.

Lastly, the mecca of all discount shopping: Century 21 in NYC.  It is insane but even designer stuff, Gucci, Armani, etc is discounted.

I love second-hand stores like Crossroads and Buffalo Exchange.  Bigger thrift stores are also great places to find basics like button ups and sweaters that don't necessarily need a lot of stylish touches.  I feel like it's worth it to buy pants and shoes that really fit well, for more expensive, but just a white button up is easily found at a thrift store, and no one will be able to tell the difference!

I try a mix of vintage pieces from consignment stores (and thrift stores!) and basics on deep sale from places like Banana Republic.

I love buying from places like Etsy.com since you find such unique pieces straight from the designer, so it's usually affordable too!  Plus Leann the winner of Project Runway has a store on etsy!  Of course everything of hers is sold out, but its still fun to look

I really love getting clothes at RW&CO - even the stuff on the sales racks at the back of the store is always really nice, clean, cute, and professional-looking.

In today's economy, Wal-Mart or Kohl's.  No!  really.

In the past I frequently shopped online from Avenue and Lane Bryant, but I just can't afford the prices anymore.

Being a big woman, finding good work clothes is always a struggle.  It was a lot easier when I lived in Houston.  I shopped a lot at Catherines, and I made regular trips to the local Avenue store that got all the clearance items from the other stores.  I was always a big clearance shopper.

Since moving to the Northwest, it's a lot harder.  There's a Lane Bryant in the mall, but their stuff is much younger than my tastes (I'm almost 50).  There's an Avenue about 30 miles south that I visit on occasion.  My preference, when I have time and money, is to make a trip up to Canada and shop at Pennington's.  I think they have the best professional wear for large women.  Haven't gotten up there in a while.  When I get my hands on some cash, I need to make another trip.

Nobody around here is capping on Target.

Also I have to admit that I find their maternity section strangely stylish, and I'm not even pregnant!

Fashion Bug, Consignment shops. I like Fashion Bug because they have up to date styles, reasonable pricies and they have many different "Cuts/Styles" of pants. If your an 8 you dont just get an 8, they have different fits according to your body type.

Its got to be ebay although you cant try before you buy,

depends on the work you do I think the internet is the best vaule for money if you shop around, I dont buy many brand names as long as it looks good I will wear it. There is a shop near me called the officers club they have 70% off all the time so I get most of mine there.

The last thing I bought online though was work overalls for fixing my clapped out car again.

Dickies now do fashion and corprate wear www.dickiesgirl.com/ as the link suggests though its just for girls at the moment although they are starting to do things for men aswell but there is no site up yet some dickies mens fashion is sometimes found at mammothworkwear.com and they deliver worldwide.

Hope thats helpful, I am new to the community so hello everyone

Goodwill, Salvation Army, Walmart, Kmart, JC Penny.  It really depends on the sale, not everyone can find what they want if they go one time and have this impression that's all they will ever have.  It takes time and effort to find things you can afford when you don't have much to spend.
